LNG Across the World

In 2017, LNG Global trade reached a record high of 293 million metric tonnes, indicating, over 35 million tonne increase from 2016, and the third consecutive year of incremental growth; With the Asia Pacific having the largest global market share of 125 Metric Tonnes.
Nigeria is an important player in the global LNG trade. The country is ranked fourth largest exporter of LNG in the world with 7.3 percent of 21.3 million tonnes of LNG export; behind Qatar, Australia and Malaysia. In Africa, Nigeria is largest exporter, followed by Algeria with 4.2 percent of global market share.
