Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is supplied pan-Nigeria by Greenville using virtual pipeline. LNG is transported by road in cryogenic tankers, hence, providing a continuous and steady supply of LNG to all our customers. LNG is stored in cryogenic tanks at -162⁰C at the customer sites and re-gasified using vaporisers before being piped for power and / or heating application(s) in the factory.
Greenville supplies the cryogenic storage tank(s), vaporizers, and control panel for each of our customer sites, while customers are responsible for the civil works, electrical and piping installations. The capacity of the storage tanks and vaporisers supplied depends on the offtake of each customer and distance from Rivers state, where our liquefaction plant is located. Usually, 2 to 5 days’ stock of LNG is kept with the customer at the storage tank in site. All records such LNG consumption and other parameters at each site is recorded in the control panel, which is remotely connected to Greenville’s central information system. Greenville plans its production and dispatches to customers from these records.
Other than these, Greenville also has a central location of storage tanks for storing and onward supply of LNG to clusters of industries. One of such facility is located at Agbara, Ogun state.
